Robin, I just wondered how your situation was. I pray it’s improving.

      1. God is healing my marriage!! We celebrate 27 years together this week. My children are still not walking with the Lord, which makes me sad, but I’m trusting God to work that out. I’m still pretty ill, but I’m continuing to pray for healing

    Dear Jackie,
I just finished reading your book: the designer bag at the Garage dump, and I must tell you that it was one of the best books I have ever read and being a reader, I have read thousands and thousands. I started reading it early this morning and simply could not put it down until I finished -it there were pages I wept and wept as I experienced in my spirit the emotions of the characters especially in the last quarter of the book! I go to work at the dump in Mexico every year for roots and wings international ministries and volunteer at the daycare which is situated at the edge of the dump in Mazatlan. Your book put into print what Jesus is doing through the two amazing 31-year-old women who are acting as Jesus’s hands and feet along with all of the dedicated staff who are there every day. They are there in a concrete way meeting the physical mental psychological and spiritual needs of children who would otherwise be left alone every single day while their mothers go to work in the dump from 6:30 AM till 5 PM looking for something to sell to the recyclers. The world you portrayed in your book was therefore very very real to me as it would be to all of those who I go to be with in Mexico every January and February – I am going for my fourth year this year. I sponsored three children there – and wish I could sponsor each and everyone of them are numbers are now up to 30 ages five weeks old to 11 years old. Please check out their site – roots and wings international ministries.
    Blessings for your amazing work,
    Dianne Brown

  4. Dianne, I checked out Roots and Wings International. Wow, their ministry at the Mexican dump is exactly like what was going on in my book, The Designer Bag at the Garbage Dump, only on a larger scale. Bless you for making that trip and for getting dirty to helps those sweet children. I saw their pictures on the website. You truly have the Lord’s heart for the poor.
